Get to know Khushboo Sorthiya

Khushboo Sorthiya is a 5x Sitecore Technology MVP and Technology Lead at Horizontal Digital, with 12 years of hands-on experience working with Sitecore. Over the years, she has worked across the evolution of the platform, from traditional implementations to composable, headless, and AI-driven architectures. She enjoys making complex technology practical and sharing what she learns with the Sitecore community through speaking, blogging, and community events including Sitecore Symposium and SUGCON. Her focus is always on helping teams understand not just what is changing, but what they can actually do about it.

What do you want your biggest takeaway from your session to be?

I want people to walk away thinking differently about AI visibility. It’s not enough to know whether your brand is showing up in AI answers or where you’re being cited. The real opportunity is to take those insights and bring them into the authoring experience, so content creators can act on them while they’re creating the content, rather than finding the problem after it’s already published.

What are you looking forward to at Symposium this year?

I’m really looking forward to seeing how the conversation around AI has evolved since the last Symposium. There’s a lot more focus now on discoverability, agentic experiences, AI-ready content, and putting these ideas into practice, which makes this year especially interesting. And, of course, I’m always excited to catch up with the Sitecore community, meet fellow MVPs, and have those hallway conversations that somehow turn into the best ideas.

What are you most excited about doing in Orlando?

Apart from the obvious answer to getting to spend time with the Sitecore community, I’m definitely looking forward to exploring Orlando a little bit. 😊 It’s also my favorite part of these events to step away from the day-to-day, meet people I’ve only known through Slack or social media, and have real conversations about what everyone is building and learning. And yes, I’m hoping to get some good food and maybe squeeze in a little sightseeing too!

How has SitecoreAI impacted the work you do with clients?

I think the biggest change is that AI is becoming part of the workflow rather than something that sits on the side as another tool. With SitecoreAI, we’re seeing more opportunities to bring AI into content creation, optimization, personalization, and day-to-day marketing activities, which can make teams much more efficient.

From a client perspective, conversation is also changing. It’s moving beyond “How can we use AI?” to “How do we build an operating model where AI actually helps our teams create better experiences and respond faster?” That shift is probably the most interesting part for me.
